NFL Playoffs; AFC Divisional Round Recap
43Denver VS New England
New England won by a lot. Denver was never in it. The score was New England 35 Denver 7 at the half. I knew not to pick Denver but I did. Now I regret it.
New England
Tom Brady went 26/34, 363, 6 TD, and 1 Int. He tied a record for passing TD in a game with 6 TD. He is now tied with Daryle Lamonica (1969) and Steve Young (1994).
Brady had 4 receivers play a big part in helping him tie the record, Gronkowski (10, 145, 3 TD), Branch (3, 85, 1 TD), Hernandez (4, 55, 1 TD), and Welker (6, 55, 1 TD). Gronkowski tied a record as well with 3 receiving TD.
New England also had their ground game working as they ran the ball 30 times for 146 yards. Their ground game was lead by Hernandez (5, 61) and Green-Ellis (13,28).
There was no stopping New England obviously.
Denver
Their is not much to say about Denver. They just stunk, Tebow went 9/26 for 136 yards. Plus he played injured the second half. 6 of Tebow's comp. were to Thomas for 93 yards. Now Denver was able to run the ball as they did 40 times for 199 yards and 1 TD. The leading rusher was McGahee with 17 attempts for 76 yards and 1 TD. But rushing alone was not enough to win the game
Denver VS New England Recap
New England won 45-10 over Denver.
Houston VS Baltimore
This game was boring. I fell asleep during the third quarter do to lack of excitement. The only 2 Baltimore TD were in the first quarter. They were thrown by Flacco but the only reason he threw them was do to the short field. Neither team had a passing game and if it was not for Foster (27,132,1TD) Houston would have been like Baltimore and had no rushing game.
Baltimore was able to win 20-13. I don't know how they did but I am glad they did because that was who I predicted to win.
